【摘要】:Theprocedureforestablishingthelong-termpressureratingoffittingsstartswithanextrapolationofaregressionlinethatisbasedonfittingfailuredatawithrespecttotime,whenassembliesaretestedinaccordancewithTestMethodD1598.Thepressure-versustimetofailuredataareobtainedusingwaterat73x00B0;Finassembliesthatareimmersedinawaterorairenvironment.Theextrapolationismadeinsuchamannerthatthelong-termhydrostaticpressureratingisdeterminedfortheseconditions.Thepressuredesignbasisisdeterminedbyconsideringthefollowingitemsandevaluatingtheminaccordancewith6.3.4.2.1Long-termhydrostaticpressure-strengthat100000h,4.2.2Long-termhydrostaticpressure-strengthat50yearsThefittingpressureratingmaybecalculatedbymultiplyingthepressuredesignbasis(PDB)bytheappropriatedesignfactor(DF).1.1ThistestmethodcoversaprocedureforestablishingPressureRatingforPVCschedule40and80socket-typefittingsbyevaluatingfittingfailuretestdataderivedbytestingwater-filledassembliesofpipeandfittings.1.2Unlessthedataapproximatesastraightline,whencalculatedusinglog-logcoordinates,itisnotpossibletoassignapressureratingtothatproductorsampleofproduct.Datathatexhibithighscatter,oradownwardcurve,duetolowlongtermdata,willgivelowextrapolatedvaluesthataremoreconservativewhencalculatedusinglog-logco-ordinates.Inaddition,thisdownwardcurvewillshowashigherscatter,andwherethelowerconfidencelevellimitsarenotmetthedatashallbeclassifiedasunsuitable.(SeeNote1)Note1ThistestmethodissimilartothatusedinTestMethodD2837,whichhasbeenusedforabout30yearstoestablishtheHDSofplasticpipematerialsandisthebasisforallpressureratingsassignedtoplasticpipes.1.3Theproductscoveredbythistestmethodareschedule40or80moldedPVCfittingsthatconformtoSpecificationsD2466orD2467.1.4Thepressureratingsdevelopedusingthistestmethodappliesonlytofittingsidenticaltotheonesthatweretested.Somevariablesthatwillaffectthepressureratingare-pipesize,pattern,molddesign,material,andmoldingconditions.1.5Thevaluesininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.6ThetestingprocedureusedtoobtainthefittingfailuredatashallbeasdescribedinthosesectionsofTestMethodD1598,thatarereferencedinSectionofthistestmethod.1.7Theproductscoveredbythistestmethodareintendedforuseinthedistributionofpressurizedliquidsat73176;F.Whenappropriate,thedesignengineermustconsidertheeffectsofelevatedtemperatureandchemicalcompatibilityoftheliquidwiththefittingmaterialandapplynecessarydesignfactors.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicationofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note2Pressurized(compressed)airorothercompressedgasescontainlargeamountsofstoredenergywhichpresentserioussafetyhazardsshouldasystemfailforanyreason.
