【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversdeterminationofthedegreeandrateofaerobicbiodegradationofsyntheticplasticmaterials(includingformulationadditivesthatmaybebiodegradable)incontactwithsoil,oramixtureofsoilandmaturecompost,underlaboratoryconditions.Thistestmethodisdesignedtoratethebiodegradabilityofplasticmaterialsrelativetoastandardinanaerobicenvironment.Thistestmethodisdesignedtobeapplicabletoallplasticmaterialsthatarenotinhibitorytothebacteriaandfungipresentinsoilandcompost.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.AspecifichazardstatementisgiveninSection8.ThisASTMtestmethodisequivalenttoISO17556:2003.
